2011 Montana 3400RL queston
I'm going to go look at a Montana 3400RL, I don't know much about Montana's and this model. Are there any problem areas on this model that I should look for. Pros and Cons on this Model. I have an older Hitchhiker and it has been a really good unit. But I want a bigger rig. Thank you for any input.

For many, many years the 3400 was the Montana model of choice. Like any RV purchase check everything and if you need help, get someone to assist.

We purchased our 2011 3400RL in 2012 and have loved it ever since. As carl n susan said, it was the most popular model for years. (60% of Montana line production for several years according to the Tiara rep at the rally) We have not had any major issues with ours, but have repaired some minor issues. Water leaks in the bedroom slide, black tank washout backflow valve, etc., none of which are necessarily 3400RL specific though. Check the tires carefully and replace if needed. (see the numerous threads about tires) Get a good PDI sheet to work through so as not to get "attached" before you purchase it. BOL

It's a 2011, lots of little things will come up.
Check tires and roof to start.

The trailer is like new on the inside and outside is almost like new. A very well taken care of rig. New tires, new hot water heater. Remote for slides, jack and awning. Pick it up on Tuesday. Putting three new wheels on it. Very happy with it.

We had the 06 3400 had the usual issues but it served us very well for 8 years and over 100K miles. We then got the 13 3402 which is nearly the same floor plan and it is also serving us very well.
