Leather furniture

Is the quality (frame work) of the leather furniture any better than the quality of the fabric furniture ?
Looking to buy a 2011 Montana 3580RL for full timing.
thanks

As I understand it, not necessarily. Some makers of chairs do a better job than others... like anything else. Maybe someone else will speak up and answer how to tell.
My experience with leather is that the furniture looks great much longer and is easy to clean versus fabric. Spills, dog hair, scratches/tears are easier to manage with leather.
Good luck!

I have leather furniture in the house and standard cloth in the monty. I would take the leather over the cloth anyday. Just make sure to use "Leather New Deep Conditioner" on it once in a while. You should also check the weights on the replacement furniture so you don't off balance your rig.

If you are going to full time, the furniture you have will not be for weekend camping. It is your home. Dianna and I did not want the heavy, hard to move, lower quality, Lazyboys that came with our rig. So we bought higher quality, lighter, easier to move, leather Ekornes recliners with ottomans. They have small, medium and large sizes. They are comfortable, sturdy, and, let me say again, easily positioned for travel. Dianna could not move the others, but she can these. I can slide them into place with one hand. The light weight ottomans tuck neatly onto the chair seat for travel. They have a web site to explore.

We had the cloth in our last Montana (3400) and we bought the leather in our Big Sky (365). We had the first unit for almost 5 years and had the cloth wear through. We used the unit 40 to 50 nights a year. The Big Sky we have had for two seasons and have almost 140 night in it. The furniture looks new. I am a fairly large guy and we do have a labrador puppy. As Stiles noted, the leather furniture is heavy and harder to move. We have been happy with it. Hope this helps.

The new "Ultra-Leather," is more durable that regular leather. Cleans easier, softer to the feel, etc., Most all Flexsteel products are Ultra-leather. We have the Ultra-leather in our SOB. It's going on two years now and it is still in great shape. Captain's chair and pilot's chair are also Ultra-leather and they have no wear or stains on them. And we have spilled things.
