Dick & Louise Big Adventure
Louise has finally retired and we hit the road, with "Monty" on Tuesday, September 2 for Colorado. We will be spending time in Iowa and Nebraska before hitting Littleton. Our return trip should take us through Kansas and Missouri.
We will try to stay at State Parks along the way and have created a Web site for those that are interested in "traveling" with us.

Congratulations on the big step! We're also looking forward to that stage of our lives. Safe travels and hope to meet you both "down the road!"

Thanks to all for the well wishes. If Saturday night's Huey Lewis concert is an example of things to look forward to we will have the trip of our lives.

We have arrived home safe and sound (not quite) after 4 1/2 weeks on the road. The trip was great, our first long trip ever towing. We logged 4270 miles, used 308.9 gals of diesel with an avg price of 4.02.9/gal and got 13.8/mpg. Our total towing miles were just over 2200. The rest was side trips including three separate trips to the mountains.
Unfortunately the altitude did a number on me and when we got home I was diagnosed with high altitude pulminary adema (sp). It looks like future trips for now will be limited to 7000 feet or less. I think that will get me to the casinos at Blackhawk but not sure.
