Smile New member and a 19 MHC 381th

Just purchased a new rig and love it. Pull it with a 15 Cummins dually and rides like a dream. Any little quirks I should look for would be helpful to say the least. Thanks, rvsareus

Welcome to MOC from a fellow 381TH owner. As firemedic mentioned there is a facebook page for 380/381 only owners where we get very specific about that wonderful floorplan!

Congratulations and welcome.

Biggest thing to look out for is if the leaking gearboxes have been purged from stock. Periodically with the slides closed look underneath the slide gearboxes and see it the roof membranes either have grease on them or are bubbled. If so you need o get that fixed. Also for the electric leverers, limit their travel to a sweet spot of 6-8 inches.

Welcome & good luck! We have an 18 381 & as mentioned the gear boxes that leak, there is a drip pan available. I had to reseal all the outside compartment door frames as they all leak, watch when they close you may see the frame move a little, add more screws when resealing. Had a leak in the LR slide out, the window was not sealed, good idea to at least seal the exterior of the frame to the siding. Where the water hose enters the utility compartment there is no provision for sealing the hose, need to add a cable hatch or something to seal it up & keep pests out.We really love the camper once you get the kinks worked out,it tows well out of the box & does ok in subfreezing weather. The ladder on the rear starts about 5 ft above the ground??? You need a ladder to get to it, I will post some pics of my solution once completed. Then there is just the usual stuff like loose moldings & adjustments.
