Where's the Booster

Our 2 week old 3791RD antenna manual says to turn it on - cannot find switch. Keystone manual says turn on the booster - says it is near one of the tvs. Cannot find it anywhere. I'm having trouble finding a lot of the stuff. New to 5r camping. Did find the inverter - in ceiling of front pass through. with some other gadget downstream (maybe a transfer switch)??

We also got our 3791RD 2 weeks ago today. The booster is behind bedroom TV. Hope you like yours as much as we do!

Should look something like this unless they have changed them.

That's it. Push the black button and a green light will come on.

You would think that if an antenna needed a booster they would just build it into the system and or tv to start with.......

The booster interferes with cable - hence the on/off switch.

hmmmmm......well ok then at least the switch should be in a sensible place? As in not hidden. Is this something that will be common to all Montana's?

Have never seen one in open view in any RV.

There should be a 12 volt cigarette lighter type plug in next to the tiny black push button.

I've heard this for years and have never had one interfere with anything on the 3 fivers we have had. I never turn ours off.

We've had in the neighborhood of 15 Rv's over 35yrs or so and everyone of them had a booster and everyone of them needed the booster to get decent reception. As someone mentioned the booster interferes with other signals and needs to be shut off on some but not all RV's. It depends on how they ran the cables, how they split the cables etc...

In our 3790RD I added more Cat 6 cables as we have HD receivers that require two coax cables (one from each LNB on the dish) in order to get all the stations and to record. The satellite hook ups on the RV feed one hook up to living room tv, one to the bedrooin tv and one to the outside storage tv. I routed additional cables to the bedroom & to the outside tv and keep the two receivers with recording functions in those areas. I wish the industry would keep up with technology and run two feeds to each area but they don't. Many of today's satellite receivers require dual feed in order to get full capabilities from them. You can set them for one feed but you loose channels and you can't record. On the 3790RD there is a jumper you have to move in order to get the satellite feed to work on the original installation. I've hooked up a coax direct to that tv from the antenna an leave it hooked up to the TV all the time, I then just move the jumper around for air wave or for satellite..... a couple extra high end splitters behind the wall would have avoided all this but alas that costs extra don't it...

It will add to drawing the battery bank down (along with the CO and propane monitors) if left on during long term, un-powered storage.

Being full timers we don't give that a thought.

Thanks WeBeFulltimers. Found it. I kept looking for a small black box sitting under a tv somewhere. It was in the wall behind the bedroom tv.
