New TV & New G614's

Last week we traded our 09 RAM for a 2012 RAM 3500 4X2 Dually and yesterday we installed G614's on the Montana. Finished installing a 22K Reese signature hitch in the morning and towed the Montana to the Good Year dealer. Loved the towing experience with the dually, it exceeded all expectations.
I tried to convince the salesman to give me something for the Marathons on trade, and he wanted to wait and see what they looked like off of the RV for a closer examination. Yes, one of the Marathons had a separated belt on the inside. Bottom line, I got nothing for the Marathons and paid $310 for each G614 mounted and balanced. I figure there were between 15-18,000 miles on the Marathons.
With a new dually and G614's on the RV I certainly will have piece of mind while on the road.

I replaced my Marathons, and 3 of them had separated belts on the inside. One of them had 2 1/2 basketball bubbles side by side. Goodyear said to just toss them.

Good idea, I'm heading down to Casey's and buying a lotto ticket right now. Tomorrow we are off to National Grasslands at Fort Pierre to do a little bird hunting (prairie chickens & sharp tailed grouse), the season opened today. They have anti venom snake shots for dogs and I asked the vet why not for humans. He laughed and said just be careful because there are a lot of snakes and stay away from the prairie dog colony's because the snakes like to hide out in those holes.
So we won't be able to make it to the National Rally this year but had a wonderful time at last years rally. You all have fun and we hope to make it back next year.

sounds like your marathons lasted longer than most and you are smart to be rid of them. That's a great price on the G614's. I just paid $345 ea mounted and balanced.
