Ed,
We are now in Lincoln City at the Casino RV park. The name of the RV park is Logan Rd. RV Park.

While in Florence we stayed at the Elk's RV park just north of town. This is an outstanding park in spite of not having sewer connections. If you are an Elk this is the place to stay while in Florence. We are not members of the Elk's but we're traveling with Jack (jjackflash) and Terry Craig who are members. Thanks Jack and Terry.

Fuel (diesel) in Lincoln City is running at about $4.29.

Dennis

30 Million barrells of oil and counting. It is very important to burst the speculative bubble. That's why the prices dropped. Tapping the reserves. Kudos to our President.

I won't get political, want to, but won't.
Didn't the prices drop when I posted the first time on this? I think so, that was then, this is now.
I will say that this will be a very short term band-aid, after this runs it's course, we will just be back in the same situation. Nothing this is doing changes anything in the 'Big Picture'.
I am wondering what cost to the taxpayers will be replacing the oil that is released at the current prices as well.

Many other countries released oil reserves also. One news report said 90 Million BBls. Some of the oil producing countries raised there production. Contrary to popular belief very high oil prices do not necessarily benefit oil producing countries as demand goes down and they pump less and sell less. It does benefit the speculators. Again google "the commodities market" and learn how it works..It can be very enlightening.
