W/D question

Hi,

First - apologies at the length of this post, but I want to be sure to be clear with my question/issue.

We are looking to buy a Montana 343RL and were doing some measuring today and have the following question for those of you with either 2010/2011 Montana’s with a combo washer/dryer, or those of you in a similar situation as far as measurements go. Here is the issue:

The Splendide vented combo measures: 33 1/2 H, 23 1/2 W, 22 5/8 D
The Pinnacle vented combo measures: 33 1/4H, 23 3/8 W, 22 D
(We have yet to look at others.)

The space is a bit of a trapezoid, with the height not a problem at all. The width is 30 3/4, the depth on the right is 26 1/4 and the left depth is 21. If we placed the W/D all the way to the right, then the depth measures 22 1/2 at the point where the left side of the washer would be – hmmm….really seems to be cutting it close with the Pinnacle, and not at all with the Splendide. When we asked the dealer, the only reply was, "Well you just leave the doors open or take them off completely." That's not an option for us. So the questions are for those of you with a similar situation of measurements or Montana’s of recent vintage:

1. How much room around a combo machine is needed for hoses, cords, etc...
2. How were you able to fit the machine in the space? Did you cut into the back wall?
