furnance

The furnance in my 2007 3600re cycles every 5 or 6 minutes. The book wasn't with the rest of the info and won't have the book until next week. Can anyone tell me if this is working right? Is there something I need to do with the thermostat?

Timothy,

If you have a heat duct close to the thermostat, try covering it up with a book or something. Some trailers the heat duct blows right on to the thermostat, which turns the heat off for a few minutes and then it starts all over again. Might not be the problem but it's a cheap try.

You did not say where you are and how cold it is. Don't know how to tell you this but your artic package really isn't. We are in Apache Junction, Az and the nights can get down to the mid/low 30's and our furnace will cycle every 7 or 8 mins to keep the 3400 at 70 Degrees. We use only the furnace , no extra electric heaters and the 3400 is not self modified for cold weather in any way. Example..The sun has been down for some time now(it is 7:50MT) the outside temp is 60 degrees... the temp inside the camper is 71 degrees..the furnace will be coming on very soon. Low for tonight is predicted to be 47 Degree . The furnace will work to maintain 70.. we average 1 30 lbs tank of propane every 7 days,,the last tank went in 5 days...remember this is "the valley of the sun" Arizona.

J&D, I had the same problem with the vent in the floor. I changed it to a directional vent(pointed toward the kitchen) and no more problems.
