It has been mentioned time and time again on this forum that these camper are built by men(and women) and they will make mistakes..That is absolutely true and that is exactly why organizations spend large sums of $ on effective quality control programs that will greatly reduce or eliminate assembly line errors.
Amen.

We have also had almosy all of the quality control problems mentioned above and then some.

By the way, if you cut 1.5 inches from the top of a two level lazy susan, it will fit where the single level one is in the 3400RL.

Well, I think we've finally gotten all the repairs completed. Just received a call from the dealer and they believe they have fixed the leaks in the slides. The sealer tape that connects the slide roof with the outboard wall was pulled up in a couple of places and they believe that is where the leaks occurred. They replaced the tape and are waiting on the new window treatments to replace the water stained ones. They also fixed the dresser drawers that would not stay closed, replaces the latches, caulked the door frame at the bottom where water was getting in, and are trying to get the DVD player replaced - sound runs away to loud after about one hour of watching a movie or listening to a CD.
The Dealer has been our saving grace through this whole thing and has worked hard to make things right. I hope this is the last of the issues and we can get on with our plans instead of returning to the dealer for repairs.
As an aside, our previous unit was a Cardinal by Forest River and was built in December at a slower time. Quality was really good in that unit. Maybe the time of the year when they are pushing them out quickly does make a difference.
So, I hope I'm happy now.???

Banjo Dave, if you don't mind, I am curious as to why you originally made the decision to switch from Cardinal (Forest River) to Montana (Keystone)? I know it's just an opinion... just curious, though.

We are also..In our opinion the Cardinal and Montana are almost identical.I think that if you took all the decals off both units you could not tell which was which.Toured both plants and we thought the quality was actually better in the Cardinal. We went with the Montana because of the Keystone/customer relationship. Forest River is not known for that...

Same old problems here - our unit is in for the 6th time this year. Makes me want to laugh when I see RV mfg.'s ads in magazines touting 'Amish Craftsmanship'. If the big 3 had QC standards like the RV industry does, we'd all be towing popups w/Hondas...
