Dometic Service Contract

I just received an offer from Dometic to extend my Air Conditioner labor service contract 2 yr. warranty for another yr. for $ 55.75. This seems rather steep. As part of the dealer promotional when I bought the Montana, they gave me a five year repair warranty for the dealers labor. I very rarely use the A/C. (Mountain Camping)
Anyone have thoughts about this warranty offer?

Service contracts are a personal thing. I am not real fond of them, but I did take an extended warranty on both the A/C and Refrigerator. Guess what? the A/C is on the blink.

Given the tumulous electrical industry (i.e. brownouts, spikes, etc) and the questionable electrical connections we sometimes use) I think that is rather cheap insurance. The newer circuit boards in our appliances don't have the surge capacities of the older stuff -- smaller surges seem to take them out faster and faster. 'nuff said.
