Slideout/frame/weld problems

Anybody experiencing frame problems, slide out issues and weld problems. My rig is currently in the shop for these three issues. I have a Big Sky '08' and it is in the shop with slide out (3 &4) issues (30 amp breaker replaced by 2-50 amps-still not working-new pump being installed), found that there may be a frame/weld issue (they are currently checking this out as the closet wall bulges when the king pin is on stress). Any suggestions?

Do a search on frame flex by using the forum's search function at the upper right hand corner of a page. This is a topic that has extensively discussed on the forum.

Unfortunately, frame flex and broken welds seem to be an ongoing problem with most rv manufacturers- As long as we continue to accept this deficiency, the problem will not be addressed- JHMO- Don

We also have an '08 Big Sky that experienced the same flexing problems in the nose. When it was all said and done, Keystone wound up replacing the complete passenger side at their shop in Goshen due to a broken weld in the aluminum superstructure. At the same time they had Lippert in to evaluate the underlying frame structure and they added several additional reinforcements to strengthen the frame in that area. Since then (summer '09) everything appears to be stable and solid with no more movement in the nose or noticeable bowing in the closet area.
I can highly recommend the Goshen Keystone shop if you need in depth repairs. They are great to work with and do a superb job getting things right. Good luck!
