There are some who never make a mistake. That's not me. I try my best to avoid them. You know, it only takes once, one mistake, one teeny, tiny mistake. So, for those who desire to have the piece of mind that the Bedsaver provides, go for it. You have my vote.

I have not dropped my fiver as of this date. Nor do I hope to ever. But I purchased a bedsaver because that is what I chose to do. I check and recheck every time I hitch up and unhitch. I am human and subject to make a mistake.

By the way up2nogood. No offense please. This is a interesting discussion point but no big deal.We can agree to disagree. Not worth getting upset over.
You and I have had disagreements before, and most likely will have them again, not a problem on my part, no offense taken. I promise you it will take a whole lot more then this to upset me,and from the sounds of it you also.

I probably come across as anti bedsaver, that is not my point at all here. Its the fact that the trucking industry does not find it necessary, and yes they are trained. You said it better than I, there should be something mandatory before you are allowed to hookup to thousands of lbs. I know what the heck I am doing and from the sounds of it so do you, but there is so many that don't, hence the need for a bedsaver.I won't argue there are many that need a bedsaver and a whole lot more. I won't get back on the never part of making a mistake when it comes to hitching, because I do see YOUR LOGIC,but for me I would get one for a mechanical failure, and then that deep deep deep thought about a human failure. Hows that for a compromise on the subject.

Beginning to sound argumentive to me. Everyone makes their own choice. That doesn't mean that they NEED the Bedsaver, just that it's like an insurance policy. Why do we buy insurance policies? Merely to cover us in case we make a mistake. Sounds logical to me. If I don't make a mistake then I don't need insurance. But just in case ......

Ok, I understand a bed saver is to prevent damage to your TV, but for this dummy, what is a bed saver? How does it work? Where do you buy one? Anyone with a picture. So for I am one that doesn't need one, but I am afraid my day will come.
Here is a picture of our bed saver I installed.

On edit I will say this. I learned my lesson that you can’t be too careful. If for any reason you get out of sync with doing a normal routine mistakes can happen. I was also one of the ones who were very fortunate which had very minor damage. It didn't require any repair work to be done. Now with that I doubt that I will ever have a problem again but as stated before It's a good feeling to know it's back there just in case. I like the extra insurance.

ORV,
Your statement is exactly why I bought it. It is insurance to prevent me from a costly mistake.

Pretty much agree that we can all make mistakes!!! Part of human nature to miscalcualte and learn from the miscalculation.
I can't get a bedsaver becasue I have a HiJacker hitch, and blue ox doesn't make one for the hitch. The really good thiing about this hitch is it is a positive lock system witha solid steel bar that slide behind the pin with an audible CLU
NK!! If your hear the sound your hitched. I also do not move the unit until I get out and physically and visually check the hitch.

Don't want to drop that beautiful trailer on my beautiful truck.
