Before my very eyes

My brother-in-law allows the neighbor to ride his horses on the property. I was sitting out in the lawn chair enjoying the cool of the late afternoon when suddenly a white jackass with saddle came trotting across my field of vision. Soon there was a man chasing after the animal. The more I watched, the funnier it became.

Then two other mounted men arrived to help the man afoot. They made efforts to hem the donkey so the grounded man could catch him. Every time they thought they had him, he would dash for a small opening and they were off again. This went on for several minutes until horses, man afoot, and donkey all disappeared behind a grove of trees.

By this time I am rolling in laughter (maybe you had to be there). To sum up the scene, there was one jackass making jackasses out of three jackasses chasing him.
