First Trip in new 3500RL
We picked up our new 3500RL last Saturday the 16th, checked it over real good. found only a few minor problems. I had to keep my wife calm til we got to use it this past weekend at the beach on it's maiden trip. On the way to the beach we ran by the dealer to get the home theatre fixed, which the replaced with a new reciever. They also fixed a kinked water line in the bathroom, took less than 1/2 hour. I was very happy with thier service. Finally got to the beach backed right up to the beach, overlooking the ocean, which was great with the big back window. It got a little cool fri night, but the heater did work, like everyone else, it was off about 5 degrees. I could not find any other problems, and we used and tried everything. I did notice that the brake controller built into the 2005 F250 was not putting enought voltage to the brakes, I think its a problem Fprd will have to look at.

Glad to hear everything went well. Do you have an ajustment on your brake controler, where you put more voltage to it.

Congratulations, Bill & Gloria! That first trip is always a lot of fun and a time of discovery.
What do you have the brake controller set at? I have mine at 8.0 currently and it works great. Just wondering.

We have the brake controller set at 8.0, it would be interesting to find out what the voltage is suspose to be when the slider is completely activated. the ford dealer said it should be about 8 volts. Keystone said it should be 12 volts. Where I bought the camper said I only had 2.4 volts when fully activated. Going to the Ford dealer friday to let them look at it.

The slider when pulled fully to the one side should deliver the max the controller can deliver, shouldn't it? 2.4 volts sure doesn't sound right. The Prodigy shows actual voltage being delivered and I know there were times just stepping on the brakes hard would take it up to around 5 or 6 volts. I don't remember what voltage the slider would deliver.
