Not Quite Ready For Prime Time

As MOC member H. John Kohl pointed out in another thread, the MOC has new web pages. This is a bit of a repeat, but here are some thoughts from your Webmaster as we go forward:

We do indeed have some new web pages, HERE.

A few tidbits:

First and foremost, we hope that you will all enjoy surfing through the new pages.

Second, Glenn did an outstanding job on the old pages, they were a gift of his love of the MOC and no one, no one, will ever be able to duplicate his work.

Next, many of the links, well over half, that were on Glenn's pages no longer are functional.

Next, your Administrators and Glenn's original dream will be kept in mind while the pages are rebuilt, but, not everything that he incorporated is still viable this many years after his last update. This internet stuff moves and changes quickly.

Next, it will take many more weeks and months to finish updating.

Next, the pages will change, be added to, some items no longer will be included. It will take time. The new pages have been on the drawing board and under construction for over a month, and there is still much to do.

We hope you will all bear with us just a little longer as we rebuild. As pointed out at the bottom of some of the pages, suggestions for additional links are considered individually.

It should be noted that your Administrators have expressed interest in having the home page open to another URL in the future. The pages are on a weebly site, but that URL may not be viable in the future. Some MOCers are interested in that URL minutia, others could care less.

At this point we do invite those of you who have web sites, blogs, or photo albums of improvements to let us know if you would like to have them listed on the new MOC web pages.

We cannot build those pages for you, we only can link to existing photo albums or web pages or blogs.

To have your improvements or web pages/blogs included, please email the URL, the name of your blog or web pages, and your MOC user names to the Webmaster at the Webmaster's email address (found at the bottom of the new MOC web pages). They will be added as time permits.

And, please note, at this time we are not contemplating a set of pages for MOC Rig photos, as many of us have incorporated those photos into our signature lines.

Thank you all for your support.

Your Webmaster

Thanks for your hard work. I tried to build a web page for a doctor I worked for back in '98. I did not succeed as I was a better medic than a webmaster. I also want to thank you for the accolades you gave to Glenn. A lot of folks did not get the opportunity to meet him. I feel the Forum has not been the same without his hard work and candor. Having said that, it is still one of the better, if not the best, RV forum on the internet. I really love the ease of using the forum and made it my homepage many years ago. Again, THANKS ALOT!!!!!

Without this forum and website we would not have met all the great people we have over the years. It is one place we can say we have something in common but still keep our individual characters (some of which are questionable at times ) and when we need help or an answer to a problem this is the place we can turn to to get the help we need. Thanks for all you have done and all that you do for us in the future!

Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do for the best site on the web. This is the first site I check every day, and it's also the last site I check before I leave the computer for the night. We're looking forward to all the good things to come here!

I wouldn't be enjoying my Monty so much if this forum didn't get me over the bumps and growing pains. Keep up the good work

Another big THANK YOU from us for the time and effort you all are putting into this project. Like others, we check the site daily and would probably not be a Monana owner if not for this forum. More importantly, we would not have met so many wonderful people without this site. Thanks again. Ken and Marilyn
