Changing the 3 step unit to 4 steps

We are looking to buy a 3580rl...this unit does not have the off-set cut away step in the trailer frame. therefore the 3 step unit going into the trailer is higher than on the 3400. Has anyone ever had the step units changed out by the dealer ?
Thanks for all your experience !
It has helped in our buying process.

We changed from 3 steps to four on our 3455. Our dealer, Folsom Lake RV, did the work. We are so glad we made the change. The three steps were too high of a rise. The only minor complaint is that it just about takes an engineer to retract the steps. They are a bit of a puzzle. I don't know if it's because I'm Italian...left handed...or a retired Kindergarten teacher...but I have to be retrained each time I try to fold them!!! ; )
