We added a weather station

We've added a weather station to our Montana. Our first problem was how to mount the outside unit (the one that sends wirelessly the temp/humidity/wind speed, etc.). We used PVC pipe and attached it to the side of Monty with two fasteners normally used to hang brooms, mops, etc. It easily pops on and off. We store the outside unit on the bed for travel. The next problem was how to mount the inside unit. Because of the curvature on the back, we couldn't mount it to the wall. So we put it in a shadow box frame and fixed the frame to an end cabinet.

This photo shows the Weather Station up close:

This photo shows how we mounted it to the end of a cabinet:

Dick and Sharon,
I like your weather station. Looks good and compact. About what $$$ range are we looking at for a similar setup? Are all the wx gathering devices located in the "pod" looking thing? Or are there other mods? I would appreciate any info you care to share.

Thanks,
Dennis

We bought it on sale at Shopko for $53.00 (reg. price $79.99). PVC and hardware for mounting pipe was minimal. We bought a shadow frame at Michael's. The wireless transmitter for all weather gathering is in the outside unit and the receiver is inside. Hope this helps.

I really like the install and the unit. I can definitely tell from the humidity and the heat index that you are no where near the East Coast!! Whewww, what a week!!
