I like level; you walk better & fall less!
My stick house is level I don’t think I could stand it if it’s off much at all.

Last winter in Florida our next door neighbors parked then leveled front to back and never checked the side to side which was off significantly from my external observations. They lived that way for a month before moving to another park. I guess level-enough is relative.

Those who have the level up system will know this but I today learned something new. We pulled into Ft Chiswell C.G on our way back from the MA rally. We never unhook on a over night stay. I went to manual mode and dropped the front gear to raise the camper a couple of inches. Never unhooked the camper from the truck. Still in manual mode we adjusted the rest of the jacks till we were level. we are level and solid as a rock,Could not do that with the 06 3400. This level up system is awesome.

Rich,
Wow! Thanks for the info. We do the same.... Don't unhook on an overnight. Good to know we can do some leveling with the manual mode. It gets a bit rocky if we can't put down something. Next time we do an O/N we'll try the manual mode like you described. Thanks, Dennis and Mary Kay

Dennis..There is a good up to date manual on the Lippert site for the level up system. We have the version two (V2) My guess is so do you. The manual mode is a bit tricky but it is well explained in the manual.

Must be level is easier for some than others. I am always level whether its over night or over month. I have a level on the front over the hitch which I watch when backing in. When pretty close to the stopping point I check and block as needed, and back on the boards. There are very few times I have to re block, I can pretty much hit it the first try. Then unhook and level front to back and its done. I wouldn't spend the money for auto level, but understand how some would. I would guess living in my motor home for 11 years, without auto level helped a bunch. I just always figured it was part of RV'ing and accepted it as that. I very seldom dark/park, now that is one thing I hate. We are raising our 5 year old grand daughter, and that pretty much eliminates driving late enough to have to park in the dark. She's ready for off the road much sooner than that--lol. On our way to Michigan from Florida this spring, we blew a tire and was late to arrive at a campground, so I called ahead and ask what lot, and how level are your lots. The lady very innocently said our lots are very level, just pull in and hook up. Now there's one lady that I know could NOT level an RV. The lot she suggested was so tilted, and in the rain, when I stopped, the trailer actually slid about a ft sideways in the GA red clay. I sat there thinking, I sure hope that thing stops sliding. One of our band members was with us, driving his car, I radioed him and said, ya think you can find a more level spot??? He said if I can't the map shows a rest area not far away--Lil. We did find a half way decent lot eventually, and was outta there on the second cup of coffee in the morning. When I paid at the desk, I told the guy, you might want to try to teach your afternoon gal what level is. He said, oh she tells everyone that, she thinks they won't stop if she tells them all the lots are on hills. I said, she's probably right, how much do I owe. I hope where Pat's at, its much more level--lol. Happy Trails.k

As one gets older the leveling get a bit harder.Bending over is not what it used to be. We used the same system you are using for many years and it was getting harder and harder on the ole back and joints.

leveling systems are becoming more and more common and one day will be most likely OEM on most units. BTW leveling systems have there limits and board may still be needed.
