WINTER FREEZE

Our Monty is about 90 miles away from us. We're going out to winterize the coach today. I just checked the weather for today and the next 4 days and it's currently 29 degress there now. Tonight it will be 30. What are the chances that we could have forze the pluming so far. How long does it need to be below freezing before for things really freeze in the unit. There's no heat in the coach right now but will be when where there. What's your thoughts.

A couple of hours below freezing, we have survived that and never turned the heat on. Tis a risky business this freezing thing.

I think you will be fine unless the last 24 hours were more near freezing and did not get up into the 40s. In our experience it is the staying at freezing for hours/days that does the damage.

Good luck.

I think you are OK unless, as Mrs. Country Guy says, it has been below freezing for an extended period. Good Luck, Larry

We were in the upper 20s this AM and the low 30s a little before lunch when we headed South in search of better weather. Everything in the Monty was fine, no problem with those temps for a short period of time. Right now we're down in Bingo land (West Virginia) and may be stuck til Sunday if the current forcast happens, they're perdicting 3 to 6 inches of that wet nasty white stuff, hey that's what we're trying to get away from.
