California or Bust

Well....The Wife, Dog and Cat will be relocating to California for the next couple of years for Work, we will be full time in our Montana. I will be working in Ontario and I’ve been looking for RV parks, I’ve put in an app at a place In San Dimas Called EastShore and was accepted. The problem I’m on a waiting list, also looking at OrangeLand RV park in Orange and one out in San Bernardino. We won’t be leaving until late summer to early fall, we’re pretty excited as my wife and I grow up in southern Cal so this I’ll be nice to see our family’s all the time.

This could turn out to be a retirement for us, I’ve accepted this promotion in our company that I’ve worked for over 18 in a half years. We will put our house on moth balls and see where life takes us. Wife and I will be married 35 years this month and 5 kids down the road.

In San Dimas now (May 2nd 2018). Just wondering if you're here yet.

A couple things you should know. OrangeLand RV park is basically a 'parking lot' with a few palm trees. As RV parks go it's rather expensive. It's popular the Disney crowd. During the summer your space rental does NOT include electricity. Anywhere in San Bernardino should be looked at real close. There's some very 'seedy' areas out there. Someplace you might look into is Canyon RV park near Green River golf course. Something you can do, if you're an AAA member is pick up a California CAMPING map for the southern section of the state. It will list ALL camping facilities.

Yeah, I’ve seen google maps of the park and all the places are high considering where we live, My preference is a park in San Dimas Called EastShore, I’m on a waiting list so hopefully I’ll be able to go there. I don’t want to go out to fountain area I’ve seen the only two in that area, the Canyon RV Park I believe does not offer long term space rentals. We just need to make sure we have a place to park for awhile and then check everything out.

We're in East Shore now and it's our second stay here. The first time we were in the 'G' (adult only) area then left to take care of wife's parents. We're now in the 'F' area. Until you get an extended stay spot you will have to move every 2 weeks, which we did for about a month. Maybe our paths will cross when we get back in the fall.

Have you considered permanent resident trailer parks? Many offer spaces for RV and may have longer term spaces available.

We stayed at Orangeland for a week, you have 3' strip of grass the rest is a parking lot.

I don’t want to move every two weeks, that’s why I’m looking at OrangeLand for the interim until I get a month to month at EastShore, we have been approve for the monthly but we’re on that waiting list.

I’ve done this one time back n 2003, was the worse experience, I left and found an RV park.

I’ve talked with the manager ( Larry Jorden ) and seams to be decent, this pace is convenient as we have family in aliso viejo, San Clemente , Valencia and Fresno. My wife and I are from Santa Clarita originally.
