New Jersey CGs

[Little Rascal]

We're trying to find a nice campground in NJ that's close to the shore. We spent all day last Saturday driving around the Sea Isle City area and found only one (maybe two) fairly decent ones. Most of the CGs in that area are seasonal and not for "transients." Only in NJ, would the person on the other side of the counter look you in the eye and say, "we're not set up to accompany you Transients." I couldn't believe it. Oh well, we found some nice antique shops along the way, so the day wasn't a complete wash. Any info out there would be greatly appreciated.

Ocean View Resort is a very nice one. It's outside of Sea Isle City. But good luck finding one for i or 2 nights from the middle of June til after Labor Day. 3 night minimuns. It really stinks for those of us that want just weekends. I guess they aren't hurting for people, They started this about 3 years ago and everyone goes along with it. Needless to say we don't do the shore in the summertime.

There really is an abundance of nice campgrounds up and down Rt. 9. But like I said, 3 NIGHT MINIMUNS!!!!!!

TKS great info. to have. I think that during the summer most if not all cg are filled and need reservations. Happr rving.....
