Update on Mary Kay

Warning! Reading this message may cause you to cringe! Read at your own peril.

Many of you know that we had to leave Q early in order for Mary Kay to do a colonoscopy. The results were generally very good but they did discover a small tear in the very bottom of the bowel. So we had an appointment with a doctor that specializes in repairing that sort of thing. After the exam he said she had a very deep fissure and it needed to be repaired as soon as possible. Asked her if the next day would work for her. Since she has had so much pain she wanted it corrected as soon as possible.

So yesterday about 1pm we went to the surgery center and the process was completed in about 20 minutes. By 3:30 we were home. She was very doped up but otherwise was feeling fine.

The doctor said everything went very well and she should start having much less pain almost immediately. As soon as she has her first bowel movement we'll know. She does have some good pain meds just in case!

It seems as if this past season has been the season of operations and or medical procedures for MOC members.

Thank you all for your well wishes.

Mary Kay and Dennis

Hey now! You know it is not nice to beat up on a crippled guy like me! I mean I can hardly walk so you know I can't run away from her!

If I don't show up at Siskiyou you'll know why!
