Oh, truck superiority banter is as American as apple pie. I am particularly entertained when the Powerstroke guys pull in and inform me of their 19 MPG trip towing a 15,000 pound fifth wheel. LOL!

2005 Ford 6.0 at 95000 and not a single issue these are known for. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Hope I didn't just put a hex on it.

I have always wondered why folks are brand loyal. Had a family members that would only drive Oldsmobile's. We always picked our brand of vehicles based on need and price. In Autos we have had Ford, Chevy's Buck, Dodge, Plymouth, Honda, over the years. Trucks have been confined to Fords and Chevy.
When I buy a GM product, a small portion of the proceeds goes into my pension fund.

And that makes me happy. Thank you very much!

I guess I was one of the lucky ones also. I had an '04 F250 6.0 that I traded for an '07 F350 6.0. Had an EGR valve go bad on the first (in the shop for an hour) and a cam sensor go bad on the second (in the shop for half a day), both replaced under warranty. Other than that never a problem.
And my '12 F350 6.7 is great. So much more power than the 6.0, and I thought the 6.0 had a lot of power. Had no intention of trading the '07 but made the mistake of browsing the new truck lot while in for routine service and ended up trading.
I can squeeze over 21 mpg on the highway with the 6.7 if I am careful with my foot. But that ain't gonna happen towing. Gets a little over 10 mpg towing the Monte, but that is running 70 on the highway. Just can't seem to keep it much under that.
