Wardrobe doors
Was wondering if anyone has had problems with their wardrobe doors coming apart? Purchased a new '13 3100RL and the first time we took it out, the wardrobe doors completely came apart. I made sure that the latch was properly locked. The outside doors on both sides had knocked off the ends of the trim pieces that are supposed to hold them in place. I think that Montana needs to look at this design and retrofit
something. This is the second set of doors for this trailer, the dealer had to replace the original doors because they fell apart from the manufacturer to the dealer.

My 2014 3150RL has had the doors self destruct twice. I repaired them the first time by reattaching the flat wood piece to the door edge with longer nails and wood glue instead of the small staples.
Then on the next trip the 1/4 round pieces came off, again held on with small staples, I again used glue and nails to reattach the 1/4 round pieces.
Both times the doors were secured properly in the middle. I no longer latch them closed. I use bungie cords to hold them open. New doors are not the answer, poor construction, poor design, poor implementation of the idea.
They look great, but.

When I went to look at my 3100RL at the dealer, the doors were laying on the bed. They had come apart. The dealer re-assembled them and I have not had a problem YET!!

we had problems with our closet doors too. The dealer used screws to put the flat wood piece on. Seems to have fixed it but we have only pulled it about 50 miles since. time will tell if it is fixed

Seems to be a common problem with the new design on the new units

Ours feel off in the arms of the person doing our PDI walk-through with us leaving a small crack in one panel. They had been installed incorrectly at the factory. He had service techs install they according to his instructions and we have had no more issues, and plan to show the cracked panel to Keystone at the fall rally. They now work well and travel without issue, and the crack is almost unnoticeable so I hesitate to complain, but we are still under warranty.

Our 2013 3150RL has the same problem with the doors. Took it to a dealer but the repair they made did not work. Until I can call Keystone again I have been using painters tape to hold them together during travel. This has been working so far even in a trip around the curves in WV.

Good thing on our 2012 3100RL we still have the old style mirror doors. We liked the look of the new design but they sure don't sound to be a very good design.

We've had the same problem with the doors on our 2013 3625. When we first looked at the unit at LazyDays in FL, one door had come off, but we didn't think anything of it. We found on the cross-country trip this spring that the trim ends on both inner doors came off. I reattached them with longer brads and used the previously mentioned bungee cord method to secure them while traveling. Works so far, but not exactly the best system. I also just had my tires balanced, which should help (they were starting to feather and cup after about 4000 miles.

Thanks to all that have posted their problems and solutions to this situation. You would think that Montana would address this issue and rectify the problem by using a little glue and screws (come-on you Amish folk, put your heads together). One thing that I thought of besides the glue and screws was to use a small "J bolt". Something along the lines of a driveway or fence gate. I mean they use one to secure the center of the two middle doors, why not use one at the bottom of the doors ONLY for travel (they have a lock on the shower doors for travel). And they like to put flimsy vinyl straps to hold back the sliding door for the bathroom (by the way I installed two more runners on the floor for that door to keep it from flopping around). Thanks again for your posts.
