FYI, for anyone who may be interested or in the same situation I was....
I was keeping track of the milage (35737) but wasn't on top of the date of my original Ford F350 3yr-36K warranty. I inadvertantly missed the expiration date about 45 days ago.
Since the TV is pulling our "Home" I started checking Ford dealers for aftermarket extended warranty plans. Most all were in the $2800 to $3200 plus tax area with a $100 deductible.
One dealer suggested I go to
www.ford-esp.com to compare coverages of Ford' ESP and the aftermarket plans being offered.
While there, the prompt calls for VIN and milage, and since out of 36 month period, directs you to call Ford ESP for further info.
I called and after a brief discussion Ford ESP approved a new 3yr 39K (total 75K) Plan.
The cost was $600 less than the least expensive plan offered by the dealers, had no state tax added, was handled over the internet, allowed for 18 month 0% rate finance if so desired, and was for their Plus 500 Premium Care Plan which as near as I can determine covers almost everything the original warranty covered (with a $100 deductible)
This plan also includes towing, car rental, trip interruption reimbursement, and is good at all Ford/Lincoln dealers in the US and Canada.
Thought I'd share this in the event anyone was interested or in a similar warranty situation as me.
