Mystery Door

Me and my wife (Bill and Deb) just bought our first RV. It is a parked 2003 Montana. We are trying to figure things out. (we are new to this stuff). I came across a key locked access door and I don't have a key that will open it. It is just below the fresh water inlet and the black tank flush hose. Can someone tell me what would be behind the mystery door.

Looks like the sewer hose storage compartment. Should be the same key as your basement doors and fresh water door. Unless someone has changed some locks.

Welcome to the forum first and foremost!!!

It should take the standard "ch751" key...I`m betting it is an outdoor shower handle/hose behind that door.

That should be the same key that opened the water cabinet. Unless someone change one lock for some odd reason, it's probably just stuck from lack of use.

It takes a regular flat key kinda like the golf cart key.

Probably the outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy flip flops and dirty feet. We hook our out door shower to the sewer sprayer/flush and when dumping just turn on the sprayer to help flush out black tank with no extra hoses attached and it runs through the "humming" anti back flow valve under our sink.

What they all said. I don’t know about it being locked or why. Probably so people won’t mess with it. I have a 2014 HC and it is in the center with the water hook up. I think they call it the convenient center.

I'm guessing mostly so it doesn't pop open and send a showerhead whipping along side the unit as you cruise down the highway.

I have a 2005 2955RL and it looks like me sewer hose storage. My outdoor shower is mounted up much higher. You can probably gently pry it open and then replace the lock once opened.

If the famous CH751 doesn't work to open it I would try putting a flat head screwdriver in the key slot and try turning it. If it has the round opening for the lock barrel in the door the whole assembly will turn easily with a little pressure.

they are easy to pick.
but first try cleaning and lubeing it.
a can of penetrant oil.
spray. work the key. repeat a dozen times if no good then try picking it.
picks on line. even shows how to make a pick out of a old wipper blade. so cost can be minimal. or just stop at a true locksmith ship. $20.usd your in. but replace all of thise locks with better grade, with lock covers.

It is for sure the outside shower. My older Mnta was just like that picture. Takes a 751 key.
