in-command

any one else having trouble with with this system it has to connect with the bcm four times to get the slides out and the same to bring they in. the last person I talked to said to shut it down after each use but that did not help.

Sounds like the new system isn't any better than the old remotes were. That's the reason I tossed my remote.

I understand you can also download an app for your phone. Would that work any different?

Are there still manual switches to use? Or are you totally dependent on the in-command system?

Mine is at the dealer as we speak as mine shuts down on an average of 14 times whether they go in or out. Two updates of software have not helped. Beyond annoying! The hydraulic jacks were repaired from shutting down by putting two 40A resetting breakers in series. No cure for slides yet.

Just received word that the body control module is bad after over 3 hours with tech support trying to diagnose. New unit on the way. Will let you know if it solves the problem.

software updates done. That made no difference slides still shutting down four times out and in. at the dealer now to see what they come up with. Glad we bought the extended warranty if this thing is going to be a problem. 8 months old really no other problems after getting new tires and the fridge fixed on the first trip.

They need to call the manufacturer of the unit and let them walk them through the test of the system. Mine would have no voltage drop but would stop many times while moving the slides in and out. The main motherboard was bad. It was replaced and it works as it should.

I received a call from the repair facility today saying my 3440RL was ready to go....same symptom as stated ..... I will check it before leaving the facility tomorrow just to make sure....not that I dont trust them.....they did replace the motherboard by the way.

Yes, they did replaced the In-Comm motherboard (BCM) which seems to have been the culprit...but.....dont know how the tech ever checked it out, as the display module hadnt been paired to the motherboard!! Like I mentioned earlier, I did a check before leaving, and it wouldnt pair up to the BCM, so they called ASA (Jensen) and the manager came out and paired up the display to the BCM, now works fine. As far as the circuit breaker, it is a 50 amp by the way from battery to hydraulic pump. No voltage loss now like before..

Hope it is all repaired!!! I actually didn't know until I got mine back and was talking to the service manager that you can have multiple phones programmed to the In-Command system. I thought it was only one. Now my wife and son can use theirs to work it as well.

We have two phones now paired to our In-Command and find so far that the phones work much better than the in trailer screen.
First of all please understand that we are in cold weather up here and have only been able to play house in the driveway.
Our thoughts are that at freezing temps with no heat in trailer that the main screen doesn't respond too well while the phones warmed on our persons don't miss a beat.
In another 6 weeks when we embark on our first trip we will see but we sure like it so far.

Sorry to raise an old thread but my BCM has been replaced twice. I know the dealer had long conversations with manufacturer. I still have issues with time out. Manufacturers last advice was to make sure I was on shore power before using slide controls. No help there either.
