I was wrong...again.
The number is on the end of the rubber.
Here are the pictures of the rubber change-out:

I contacted Mor/Ryde yesterday. He looked at my photo and felt my 5th Wheel was level. With the weight of the rv, he thinks the rubber spring may be a bit stiff. I have to take it out and tow it and ensure I am getting 3 1/2 inches of travel on the slide plate. I will do that this weekend when I take it camping.

Leemedic,
I have an 2011 3400RL, with the Moryde and the Curt Q20 hitch. We do not experience any chucking except on really bad expansion jointed roads. My question to you is...how are the rear shocks on the Ford? If they are original, they may not have enough life to control the 2800 lbs bouncing around in truck bed.

If you need to drop down to a #4, I'm pretty sure I still have mine.

It is funny you mentioned that. The truck has 68,000 miles so yesterday I replaced the shocks. Friday we take it out camping, so I will let you know how it goes.

OK MOC, like I told you I changed out the shocks. This weekend we took her out for her first camping trip.
Before changing the shocks I would say the chucking rated a 7/10. 10 being uncontrollable.
It is now a 4/10. So replacing the shocks helped a lot.
Mor/Ryde told me what to watch for the next time I tow. I was told I should get about 3 1/2 inches of movement on the bottom plate. Not even close to that. I get 3/4 forward and 1 inch aft.
So it looks like it might be too stiff. I will send them another email with pictures and let's see what they say.

After Several very pleasant emails to/from James from Mor/Ryde it has been determined that I should have the #4 spring on my pin box. Currently it has a #5. He told me the replacement is normally $185 plus shipping but since this is a brand new 2013 he gave me a pretty good deal on it. FREE!
What a great company that would do that!!

That's great - because I just found mine and it's a #5.
Obviously I had the same problem you did and went to a #4 (not free either!), but had it screwed up in my head that I went the other way around. Getting old and forgetful sucks! However, let it now be said that I do have an extra #5 if someone needs it!

I got the #4 Shear Spring in for the Mor/Ryde pin box, and and had it installed in about 30 minutes. This Thursday I will be taking her out to see how she does.
