John,
I did the same thing. I would think about supporting it a bit more. Travelling may shake it loose. Just a thought.

John, that's almost as cool as having solar. I've got to make sure my wife doesn't see this thread. I need a break from working on our Monty. I need to go fishing. Good job. Might I suggest something? A water leak alarm monitor would go nicely amongst all those fittings.

Jim,

I keep waiting for you to post a picture of what you did, or did I miss it.

Good idea on the water alarm, I think I even have a extra one.

I would be more worried about the elbows and T's for the connections from the factory, shown on the right. Those are almost hilarious compared to the tank.

Back to the tank, are those four straps holding up the tank made of metal? If so, after travel, check that they are holding and not cutting into anything and they should be fine. Plastic straps could give and stretch over time with the bouncing of the rig as it's towed.

Okay, they say the only dumb question is the one not asked, so I'll be the one to ask. What does it do and what is it's purpose?

It stores pressure, so you can run the water for a little while before the pump has to run. Of course when it starts, it will run longer, because it has to restock the tank.

Thanks for the explanation...JMHO, but I can't see much value or use for it. We have the pump, let it do its' thing.

You've never been on a Well Water system have you? It is designed to give constant pressure from the time you turn on the faucet to the time you turn it off eliminating the pulsing that the pump does. Really makes a big difference during a shower.

A minature version of what we have at the S&B.
I'm still amazed at the Plumber nightmare behind the convenence center and not much different than our SOB. A person can go cross-eyed trying to follow those water lines.

You've never been on a well system either, apparently, pressure tank does not give contant pressure, but keeps pressure within a range, such as 35psi to 50psi, or 45psi to 60psi. It eliminates the constant starting and stopping of the pump. But it does not keep a constant pressure. These do the same thing.

Not sure where your attitude is coming from!!! Nothing I said was meant to belittle anyone!!! If it was taken that way, my apologies offered to Hooker only. That being said, my explanation was a shortened and simplified version of what you said. By keeping the pressure in a certain range it helps to give the illusion of constant pressure. Everybody's an expert on the Internet. And yes, been on a well system most of my life.

Sorry it took so long. I upgraded to IE10 and it's got some quirks I'm not used to. Also, sorry 'bout the pictures being a little blurry. I lost a little clarity when I resized them.

Thanks Jim and Alan.

Jim easy way to post pictures is to sign up for Google Picasa, and load the PC version too. I have a fold I setup in my pictures called Posting and you can configure it to automatically upload when you run Picasa on your PC to your Web account.

I just copy pictures I want to post into that folder, and they are uploaded to my Picasa account accessible on the internet.

Find the picture on Picasa Web, right click it, and select "Copy Image URL". Go back to your MOC post click the Picture button in Format: line (will insert html tag for you) and you paste the URL between the ][ created by the picture button. Press Preview.

Will Picasa resize them automatically? I take very high resolution pics with my phone and have to resize them to a lower resolution to post on a forum. The pics Jim sent me had to be resized up from a small picture to a larger one. Would be really nice if Picasa would auto resize pics to post on a forum. So far I've not found any software that will do that, but I haven't looked real close at Picasa. I use Dropbox so I don't have to upload anything to my computer manually. It does it automatically when it see's my phone.
