I'm hoping that I can get the no-drill kit. The only problem is Dodge has no info on their new 2013 truck. I can't even get a delivery date. I will be interested to see if they get mounting kits out for the new frame. Good suggestion.

I just traded in my long bed Chev for a 2013 F250 short bed (aprox 7 ft) My 18K Draw Tite Signature Series hitch fits the new Ford's 5th wheel and goose neck option without any modifications. However after getting out the Tape measurer I am afraid to pull the trailer out of the driveway. My trailer is a 2005 and does not have the rounded nose like the newer ones. I was thinking about the Automatic Super glide also but didn't want two set of rails in the bed of the truck. They make a conversion kit to change my current hitch to a slider and use Ford's existing atachment points. Does anyone have one of these new fords with the 5th wheel option and a standard slider and any problems getting down the road, or do I need this auto super slider??????

I have a fifth air born sidewinder it is great.It shortens the turning radis by 22" and allows you to have a storage box in the rear of the truck box.

After a while you'll forget (or be distracted) about the slider and damage the cab. Don't ask me how I know.

We have the Superglide and I LOVE IT! One less thing to think about. We are able to do greater than 90 degree turns as well and it is really easy to hook up. I have never used the other type but someone who saw us with ours said he liked it better because it was a tighter fit so it did not have as much wiggle room. We purchased the one with removable rails but we never take it out because it is one heavy unit.

We paid $1695 installed and we have the 16k model (I think.). Many people up here in Montana, when they buy a new truck, sell their old hitch and buy the new-fangled one. Ultimately, it boils down to,'Does Daddy want a new toy?'

I didn't want any more holes in the bed of my new Super Duty and was afraid I would forget to pull the handle on a slider so we settled for the Airborne Sidewinder. Sure hope this was a good decision. Did have a problem determining the part number that was supposed to be stamped on the side of the trailer pin box. They needed this to determine what to ship me. Guess my '04 was too old because there was no numbers on the box. Montana, Lippert, Keystone and MorRyde all gave us conflicting information so we used the information from MorRyde because they installed a kingpin for us a few years back. No one would tell us that the sidewinder would not harm the trailer and that the sidewinder was OK to use. None of them sold a hitch so don't know what their problem was. Should have it in a couple weeks and if the snow is gone will post the results of a trial run. Until then.
