Who Has Their Monty on a 2011 2500HD?

How is this combination working regarding bed rail clearance and with the increased height of the 2011 are you towing level or nose high?

I am very close to making the move from my 2004 to the 2011 but am very concerned how they match up.

Thanks

Close, but.... I have a 2010 3500HD Dodge Dually with the B&W Companion to the Turn-Over Ball Hitch. When I first mounted the hitch, the bed rails were too close to the underside of the trailer. I was able to raise the hitch by 2 inches and now have plenty of clearance. The one drawback is that the trailer tracks a little nose high, but it is still stable and my big Dodge Dually got 11.1 MPG between Beale AFB (just north of Sacremento) and Bullhead City, Arizona.

The new Dodges are a little higher than my previous trucks and before I raised the hitch, I had to get some repair done to the bed rails.

The 2011s are supposed to have considerably more cargo capacity and towing capacity. I would not tow a Montana with an earlier model, it will be interesting to see what the actual numbers are on the new ones.

I don't know what you mean by "earlier" models? I towed my 2955RL with my "old" 2004 LLY over the mountains and through the woods last year on a 6000 mile retirement trip.

Thanks for your input?

Our '07 2500HD tows our '08 3400rl with an 18K
Superglide. Adjustments were made to the kingpin frame raising the bolts or setting on it. I do notice a "nose high" that was not there previous to the adjustment but am abouit 6" rather than 4" from the rails. Going to our home in NC mountains, w/o any adjustment would cause the front of the Monty to come down on our truck due to a tough turn on the private road. Am now wondering if the Pullrite riser would help??

Hey, that's a great question, I went from a 08 to 11 and yes it is higher. I am still level, but I did lower the hitch, but still have ample room on the bed rails. My 08 was an extended cab and my 11 is a 4 door, about 8 inches longer, which seems to squat more than the 08, so thinking about bags......
