Where do you get the graphics to match? I think that would be really great.

Native Tex, I **think** your dealer can order them from Montana, just like they would to replace decals on a Montana. If you want to see how it looks, click on Members above, put jlboz60 in the search box. When jlboz60 comes up, click on it, then click on the picture in John's profile. He has the graphics on his truck.

Steve - thanks for the information. I will check it out. I have seen some vehicles on the road with similar graphics and they look very good.

Send a message via MSN to Fordzilla
The mirrors and the grill are painted on the KR model also. And the seats on the KR will out last the rest of the truck if taken care of. I love mine

Usually you can go to any good pinstripers and they can match the graphics. We had some general graphics done to match the colors on our previous 5th wheel and we were lucky they match the Montana pretty good plus may be cheaper.

Hello All,
Now that we have our 3685FL, it is time for a tow vehicle. We fell in love with the Ford King Ranch F 350, but the cost is steep. I looked around on the board to see if anyone has a King Ranch listed as a tow vehicle but have not been succesful finding you. If you have one, do you still think it was worth the extra cash for the truck.
Thanks
Karl
scrowba - just had to tell you that the wife and I went crazy today. After all the talk about the King Ranch, we decided to take a look. Well you know what that means ! ! We bought one today and will pick it up Thursday after the dealer sprays in a Line-X bedliner and then transfers our fiver hitch. We got the Metalic Copper. Can't wait to get it on the road. They really are a lovely vehicle.

Great Minds think alike Native Tex. I drove my 2005 F350 Triton V10 King Ranch 11,000 lb. GVWR Package, Intergrate Trailer Brake Controller, 4.30 ratio limited slip axle, 4X4 and a bunch of other stuff home today. I am pumped.... Now it's time to decide on my hitch. It's a short bed so I am thinking, 16K Superglide with the SuperRail kit? Is it worth the extra cost?

I have a slider hitch, not the super slide, but a Husky 18K. I have never had to slide it in my other truck. It is nice to know you have it if needed. Mine is a manual release type, it works very easily, but if you watch yourself, you may not need the high dollar version.

Congratulations, Native Tex and Scrowba! I'm envious! I really like our Lariat but that King Ranch is just above comparison with anything else. Wow! No, we just traded last October. We'll have this one for a very long time.

Steve I only hope this one performs as well, and is as trouble free as the old 7.3L we are trading. I have been putting this off just to be sure the new engine settles in and all the bugs are worked out. I left the dealer in Jan 2000 with the old one and never returned until today for the trade. I did keep it perfectly serviced and had all the service tickets in a log book for the dealer to see. He was very impressed and in fact went back and added money to my trade price for the records. He said that it will make one very easy to re-sell. I was surprised at the list of names he had of people wanting 2000 and older model trucks. He said he would have mine sold in less than 24 hrs. Bottom line, if the new one does that well, I will be satisfied more than you can imagine.

O.V., I hope it works out as well for you. As you know, we had a very early 6.0 in our '03 F350 and had problems with it occasionally just up and stalling on us. Ford's Diesel Specialist Team went to work on it. It took awhile but they eventually fixed it. You are going to be amazed at the towing power of your new truck. The 7.3 was a great workhorse with fantastic longevity, very tough to beat, but ... well, just wait and see for yourself. And you will love the TorqShift, especially the grade braking. You will not need an exhaust brake, or at least I don't feel we need it. And the integrated brake controller. Well, I could go on and on. You maybe can tell I am very enamored of this truck. We've put 11k miles on it in 3 1/2 months. But, then, we put 51k on the '03 in 16 months.

O.V., if you and Kathy want to get that first 500 miles or so on it quickly so you can start towing, come on over to Tybee Island, Savannah, GA. Looks like about 450 miles one way, just a nice breakin drive.

Scrowba, same offer for you folks, although Maine is a weeee bit farther away.

Steve thanks for the resounding words of success. We are going to take a short jump very soon. In fact, you suggestion is very close to our idea. We are looking to make a run to Savannah very soon. We both love that area.

We leave here March 10 so if you'll be in the area before then and want to get together, give us a holler. We're at Rivers End CG on Tybee Island.
