Going shopping for heat (the electric kind)
Looking at the extended forecast for this area confirms what others have said about old man winter not wanting to depart. I declared Spring regardless and just to be safe will be purchasing a ceramic heater to replace one that has went on the blink after close to six years of service. We use two in the Montana on colder nights since I prefer to keep the propane for cooking, the fridge and the generator. Will be visiting Walmart this weekend in hopes of being prepared for the Easter trip. If you can't beat them, join them! Oh well, our initial trip each year at Easter has been averaging about a 50% chance of waking up at least one morning with a blanket of white encircling the Montana! At least the campground provides heat tape on the water supply!

We use a little cylinder shaped Honeywell two stage ceramic heater that wasn't real expensive but has done the job for us the last couple of years. Since it blows the hot air out in every direction we can position it where we want it and it gets the job done. When it really cold it's buddy the fireplace jumps in to help.

If you are looking for suggestions, we have two Lasko towers (from Wally World), been keeping us warm...and using the CG's electricity, for years.

We have a Lasko tower that we use in the bedroom. I think we are going to go with a Pelonis type ceramic heater that we can set on the counter in the kitchen pointing towards the living room where the girls will be sleeping. Will keep it up out of the floor and avoid unintended encounters with the dog in the event she decides to pay the girls a visit during the night. The tower site in the corner of the bedroom oscillating between the bathroom and the bedroom. We have a small one that we have used for the girls, but the fan is making a heck of a racket so it is going to be put to rest in the campground dumpster. Eight more days and camping season for the year officially opens!!

We had two of the 'standard' sized Laskos, then last year found out they made a similar tower heater that is much shorter (takes up less storage space), it is the 5307.

We got two very small electric ceramic heaters in 2011 for about $15 each at Walmart. We use the electric heat at short stops as electricity is part of the overnight rent, and use propane when wintering in Florida as electricity is billed extra.

Yes, and we like the heat that the CG pays for and not us.
