Won't be selling in the very near future and when we do it will be traded on a new Montana full timer rig. Been at this full time thingy since Oct 03 with no intention of ever quiting.

Along with the normal methods you might try to have a dealer..that you can trust, sell it on consignment for you or perhaps a campground can help out. Sorry to hear that you have to sell but understand...

My dealer gave me a great deal on an '07 3400 (over 26% off), but wants to give me less than 1/2 the low retail NADA for the present TT. We bought it new in '05 and have used it a total of four nights in two trips. I'm trying EBay and craigslist.com.

There are many websites for selling. I would suggest you list it on rvtrader.com, rvtraderonline.com and even Escapees has a forum for sale. If you are anywhere near Houston, PPL, has a website and a sales yard for consignments, the biggest they say. Lots of people have had great luck there. Good luck in whatever you do.

Vick, since we seem to have been grounded perm. by our adventure with the KOA owner from @#$%, we HAVE to sell it before winter, cause I know we can't winter in OHIO in the thing... I have bad memories of what a bare zero degree day did to the sewer line... much less how miserably cold it would be up here.
Between that, a car for me, and utility bills.. Well, I finally get paid tomorrow... That is only right at a solid MONTH since I had any income. Be a while unfortunately before we are ahead of the game.

Give this a shot...:

We're going to get the ball rolling about 6 months before I get ready to retire---The National Park Service has a "workamper" plan and some of them you "bid" your services as do several of the State Park Systems.

cat320 just mentioned craigslist.com
My sister called me on Sunday and was telling me about this website, have not checked it out yet, but sounds fantastic and it's free!! Her friend posted an ad for their truck and sold it to someone within the hour. Worth a try anyway.

Be very careful using Craig's List. I have heard it does give you great results, and it is free to advertise. But there is a scam out there, and they do target people who advertise on it. Usually they are from another country or are far away and want to send you a bank check that turns out to be phony. Not sure exactly how it works, but when we advertised on Craigs List, we got one of those offers. We knew instantly it was a scam because we had heard about it on TV, and Craig's List actually tells about it on their website.

Mel you might check out Thousand Trails. They always need rangers and all kinds of help. I don't know if you need to be a member, but hey, doesn't hurt to check out their website. We have a friend now who is working at Chesapeake and is loving every minute of it.

Hey potatos,
I have heard about and seen those as well... So far the only scam I have fallen for involved yellow shirts. I put the Trailer on craigs list last night. Will also probably advertise on one or two of those other sites as well. We are going to leave all the accoutrements and such that we have purchased for full timing (except the nifty lawn chairs)in it when it sells, so that is $3 - 4 K more of value added. Hopefully someone will love it as much as we do.

Mel,

Wouldn't it be less expensive to rent a spot in an RV Park instead of renting a house?

It would, but Ohio in winter is not something I want to try in the Monty.

Doggone it! If we were within a year of heading out I'd probably buy it from you right here! Maybe you'll get a hit from a soon-to-be on MOC.
Good luck, whatever happens.

My TT sold on Ebay (for 50% more than the dealer was going to give us in a trade)...no calls no emails from Craig's List.
