Roof Maintenance
What would you recommend to clean and seal the roof on my 3500 RL? I do not have any leaks but I want to maintain it properly.
Thanks

I think a lot of members here just use blue dawn dishwashing soap and a brush. It is unscented so not to attract pest or birds. cleans the roof pretty well

I use Spic and Span powder, followed by Tilex, then Spic and Span again to make sure I get all the Tilex off.

I believe that the roof manufacturer was at a rally and told the attendees that dawn was one of the preferable agents to use. Hopefully one of the rally attendees will confirm that. If not, then take this post as a definite sign that memory loss is creeping in. Of course, there is the possibility that this post has nothing to do with it and that the memory loss may be simply a statement of fact.

Do not use a citrus based product. There have been folks on other forums who described birds or squirrels making holes in their roofs looking for the food they smelled.

We use the product sold at CW designed specifically for this application...it is a wash/treatment solution that seems to have worked OK for us.

When I traded in our 05 for the 10, dealer inspected the roof and said it was in terrific shape. I wash with dawn soap as well, and once every couple of months I use the ProtectAll Roof treatment, which takes about 10 minutes to apply after roof is washed.
