route to Fireside Resort Spring Rally

My RV trip planner "RVTRIPWIZARD" has a "do not enter" Flag for route --
Restriction - Teton Pass
WY Hwy 22 & ID Hwy 33 - State Line, Stateline Canyon, ID

Is this not passable for my 40' rv and truck 53 feet total length?
If it is not what is a better route?
I plan on stopping at Valley View RV Park, 5152 North Hwy 20, Island Park, ID 83429 and continue down from there.
Guidance please.

If you stay at Island Park, or West Yellowstone:

Island Park option:
#1 Ashton Hwy 32 to Driggs, Hwy 33 to Victor, Hwy 31 to Swan
Valley, Hwy 26 to Jackson Hole, Hwy 191 to Moran , Hwy 26 for 6 miles to Fireside RV Park.

West Yellowstone option:
# Stay at West Yellowstone, take Hwy Hwy 191 to Moran Jct, Hwy 26 for 6 miles to Fireside RV Park

Hwy 22 is NOT a RV friendly option!

As Gary wrote, do *NOT* try the 22/33 route. If Trip Planner didn't scare you, the signage at the bottom of the route will.

It would seem the route from West Yellowstone through the park to the south exit is optimum. It is the route I have taken numerous times.

John Teton pass is a very step grade I would go thru the park thru the south entrance. You wont have a problem going that way.

I've been over the pass many times with the fiver. You just have to lock it down in low at the top.. If you are staying at Valley View Imwould go through Yellowstone to Moran Junction. The park is just down the road from there.

I agree with jsmitfl. I went down from the West and it is steep but use lower gear and engine brake if you have it. But when I did it, I wasn't thinking about how bad it was or anything. Of course, I like hilly and curvy!!!

The last time I was on Hwy 22 I was in my Triumph TR6 and I don't remember having any problems. I guess I might want to reasses this option as that was going to be my route also. I was more worried about the traffic than the hills and curves. My other choice was going through the Park, but the traffic I would imagine would be worse. Living in the West and driving the backroads with the fiver has never really been a problem, I just go slower. As long as it is safe is my criteria. Hmmm!

Thanks for all the input. We have changed plans and will be coming in from NM now so that route is not a problem for arrival. Now departure is another question. We are not sure which way we are headed yet.

Shirley and I have to cancel. We will be in Elkhart area until after 4th of July.

If you still are going to the Yellowstone/Jackson area, we will be in Dubois around July 22 for 3 days. That is about 50 miles east of the Fireside Park.
Oh, and anyone that is at Fireside, go East 20 miles to Wind River Lake. Small, about 2 acres or so with a wooden dock. Also picnic area and the occasional grizzly!!! We saw a young one working it's way around the lake over about a 20 minute period. The last 5 minutes were viewed from inside the truck!!
