I think we’re ready

Well...I think I’ve checked all the box’s to travel back home to Alabama from Southern California where we have been parked for almost two years. 5th has been service, wheel bearings repacked and new seals, cleaned up the brakes and adjusted, replaced 2 lippert jacks and replaced the fluid, cleaned all the light lens and installed led marker bulbs.

I’ve also went greased the suspension and checked the torque on all the suspension bolts.

I’ve also done some work on our pantry so the shelving don’t collapse like they did on our way out here on those dam rough as roads on I-10 trough Louisiana.

I’ve serviced my Ram, oil & filter change, both fuel filters, changed the rear diff fluid, air filter, cab filter. It’s been washed and waxed.

I air up the 5th and truck tires and air up my bag’s the night before we leave which will be 12/1 jacks up.

Sounds like you've checked off the boxes. Good luck and have a safe trip home.

Good job. If I had to find an issue it would be the camper tires. Are they the stock China bombs ? that have been sitting out in the CA sun for 2 years. If so get them off and replace them with Sailun S637 tires.

Sounds like you are well prepared.
As for Louisiana, take the I-220 bypass around Shreveport/Bossier City to miss that fairly short but extremely rough section of I-20, unless someone has been thru there lately and can say they have repaired it.

No, don't know that LA will ever repair that terrible stretch thru Shreveport - been thru there many, many times. It was still terrible 2nd week of November.
I have not however taken 220; see the sign all the time but didn't know where it went. I'll check that out. Thanks.

Have a wonderful trip. Sounds like you what you can control well under control. We just did the I-40 to I-10 from CA to FL and I can tell you as of 6 weeks ago it has not been fixed. Thanks for the recommendation about I-220, I think mine aged a year going through there.
