Broken leaf spring

I was traveling down a country road in New Brunswick and heard a loud pop. Yes, it was a blow, fortunately no damage. Went to check out the blown tire and found a blown rear tire and front broken leaf spring on passenger side. Fortunately again, I was close to St. John by Harbour Point. spent the night at HP and took the FREE FERRY, yes FREE, across to St. John, New Brunswick. Went to St. John's Spring shop and Jeff was able to get me out within 3 hours. The repair seemed fair, about $200 U.S. I only found the Goodyear replacement tires in Mass., so the Goodyear shop in Bangor, Maine will have them Monday morning. The tire shop in St. John was willing to let me stay at his store lot with ele and water until the tires came from Northern Nova Scotia. Strong recommendation for St. John Spring shop and the Goodyear in St. John. Also, recommend for Goodyear in Bangor, Maine for locating what we needed. Happy trails all.

I hope its not Goodyear Marathon tires you are going to get. If it is the popping noise is one you will hear again.

It's good to hear that there are still some business that will go out of their way to help you out when in need.

The tires are LT G614 235/85 14 ply. New tire is on and heading for Portland, Maine this afternoon. Wish us luck.
