Leaking Black Tank Sprayer Line

Hi, I have a 2010 3150RL. This past weekend was the first time I've had it out in a little over 3 years. Before we disconnected I decided to spray out the black water tank. After running the water a few minutes my wife saw water running down the right landing gear. There was some water next to the back wall in the storage area but also had water running down along the front of the interior stairs along the floor. I pulled off the back wall of the storage area and there were no loose lines. I also connected water to the city water line and had no leaks. Tracing the sprayer line it goes up behind the shower to a check valve and the down to the tank. I'm thinking it's the valve or a connector. Has anyone ever had to get behind their shower and if so how did you get there? I can see the valve but can't get my hands on it. Thanks!!

That valve has been a problem for a lot of folks. Mine was under my sink, but some of the folks who have it behind the shower either had a access door in a closet on the other side of the wall in the bedroom or they had to make one.

Thanks!! I think the only way to get access would be to cut a hole in the wall where the back of the fridge is, I think. since I rarely use the sprayer I'm not too concerned.

Oh yeah. The infamous vacuum breaker/antisiphon/check valve such as this one. Or may be clear plastic.

Mine failed and sent water down my stairs and floor. Mine was between the shower wall and my entry closet. There was a cutout with cover in that closet, but in the wrong place. Had to cut a new opening where the valve was located. Like others, I removed the valve and connected the two lines together to avoid the same problem in the future. And use an external check valve.

My lines were winterized in this pic.

Used the cutout piece to make a cover.

I removed the shower faucet and gained access to the valve there. Bypassed the check valve and installed a check at the inlet line.

Had the vac breaker spray water in mine...BUT also had a water leak as you describe due to bad washer at the connection in the center. John

Thanks for the replies. I've only used the sprayer a few times in the 6 years I've had the trailer. Typically I'll put several gallons of water in the tank with sanitizer while I'm driving and the sloshing seems to work. Not having the sprayer is not a major issue.
