Fixed my Apollo microwave

Well, I thought the latch to the Apollo MW broke. So I ordered the new parts and took the it apart only to find the pivoting retractor inside had slipped off its two retainer holes. Reinstalled the part and Wha-la, it works. Now I have to call Apollo about returning the part. It was an easy fix after getting the MW out of compartment and the teardown. Oh yeah, the back has two security screws and two stickers saying shock hazard. I asked about it, and the sales rep said the stored energy inside the capacitors would drain after unplugging. Do not work on the unit plugged in. Saved a few bucks.

Might want to think about keeping those parts as surely that will be the next failure. John

That part does seem to be a frequent failure. I'd also keep it.

I have found if you look on youtube you can find a video showing how to repair just about every microwave ever made. Some are more complicated than others and some videos are in other languages but most are intuitive.
