Screen door opener on new Alpine 5ver
Has anyone seen the screen door openers on the the new Alpine Fifth Wheel models ?
The opener attachment is attached to the slider on the screen door and activates the handle on the outside portion of your door.
Just another way to open your screen door from the inside, but very nice looking and simple.
I want one of those clever little openers, but can find one for sale anywhere.

I think we have the same opener on our new 2011 3400RL.

I looked on line at one of the 2001 Montana doors and THAT IS THE OPENER I am asking about.
Does anyone know where I can order the sliding door opener gismo ?

Here is something new I noticed in the lastest Camping World catalog.
Is it anything like this?
screen door opener

The Camping World device does the same thing, but the gismo on the new trailers, that I am talking about, is cleaner looking. The new device looks like a knob attached to the screen slider door. The knob device acts as a handle to move the latch handle on the screen door, eliminating the need to move the slider door to open the screen.

Are you talking about this type of opener?

This was made with a bicycle spoke and a wire nut. Many on this forum have made their own modification for an opener.

No that is not it either.
The new devise is cleaner looking than most of "home device" devices to open the screen door that I have seen. There are no wires etc

I've used one of these for the last three years,It's so simple, it's clean looking and cheap! With this devise you don't have to slide the small door open to open the screen door and it's great when you have your hands full you can open the screen door with your knee or anything available.

Many have used a Bicycle spoke, they are strong and bendable, you can 'tip' them with anything.

Yep, use your arm-elbow, it's spring loaded. (The latch, not my arm...)
