Awning lock

I am wanting to obtain one of the awning locks for our 2007 3400RL. Would someone please enlighten me as to where on the rig I look for which awning I have so I order the correct one? Thanks.

Take a look on the arm close to the awning.

Edited: If it is stock (came with the RV) me thinks it is the A&E Sunchaser or 8500. The 9000 has the weatherguard. Some pictures may help you.

The awning lock website looks a little out of date. You might have to call them and give them your actual A&E model number (on the inside of the arm as Wayne indicated)

I don't believe Montana ever used a two-step

I believe the one-step is referring to the A&E 8500 - 8500 Plus - 9000 series

If you have the electric, it is a hybrid of the weather-pro called a Power-Pro.

The below is FROM HERE.

"Hardware Product Information (Needed only if replacing any part of an existing Awning)

With the canopy fully extended, you should find a product tag on the roller tube; usually toward the front of the RV. Record the brand, serial number and production number.

Note the color of the hardware such as satin (aluminum), cream or white. Also record the product information for the hardware (model, serial number and production number) which is generally found on the product tag inside of the front awning arm channel. "

If you have a stock manual awning, you need model A. I just received mine. Looks like a well designed and constructed piece of equipment. I have not installed it yet, but it does come with good instructions, and some additional pictures and instructions if you order it from Keith Williams web site.

On edit, maybe there is some confusion here, are you talking about the after-market travel lock, or a replacement for the original lock? If the latter, then get the serial number etc, and A&E can tell you what you need.
