Word of Caution

I have the 3400 and the light bulbs over the bathroom sink were the large clear globe types that get very hot. Today I noticed the ceiling above the center light was beginning to yellow and a crack appeared. Changed them out with the funny looling CFL bulbs. A lot cooler.

This could be a safety problem. You might want to check yours.

P&C. We noticed this ourselves. Changed out to one Flourescent. Is that what CFL is? Just as much lite, less energy consumed.

Seems everyone will have this problem sooner or later depending on usage. We changed ours out to flourescent as well. Our bulbs just take a short while to achive full brightness after they are turned on.

Seems like we had this discussion previously. Regardless, do not leave these lights on with the OEM bulbs when they are not in immediate use. The ceiling definitely gets hot and my memory tells me that with extended use, the ceiling actually gets discolored from the heat. We are monitoring closely.

If you don't like the way the squiggly ones look, you can pay a little more $$$ and get a CFL that looks similar to a regular incandescent and even the round globes.

I don't believe the OEM globes made it more than 2 days in our new 3400. Got the florescent globes and threw the others out. Also put florescent in the 110v light over the dinette table and in the end table lamp between our recliners.

Looking into replacing some of the 12v 194 and 1076 bulbs with LEDs, but the bank account is currently balking at the $9 price per bulb. But maybe a little at a time.

On my 2005 it wasn't a problem. On this 2007 the light is a lot closer to the ceiling. I changed to the CFL's the day after we bought our trailer. That is just too much heat too close to the ceiling and wall for me to be comfortable.
