New screened bedroom escape window

Sue and I installed the new window in our bedroom. The '07 3400RL does not come with a screened escape window.
We just slid the window off it's track and slid the new window on, there are two Phillips screws on the top frame you have to remove. (Stubby Phillips.)

On edit, ours did not come with one...Maybe yours did. I just figured all did not, but ours was an early '07 model.

Edit..again Here's the link to the slide show: (I fixed the link, darn thing worked the first time, ???)

Some 2007 models did not have screens. Ours does in both places.

Nice job though - and our 2007 definately did not come with a Bathroom Window!

Ozz,
Where did you get the new window? Our 2008 Big Sky does not have a screen in the bedroom window and we really miss the fresh air!!

Thanks Brad, I LOVE the bathroom window, it is so nice to have that feeling of openness (and the ventilation...) it is one of the very favorite improvements we made.
Tom and Joyce, I ordered it from a sweetheart named Dawn at the window supplier....name escapes me now,
Her phone number is: 574-848-9100, Model# F-860-17653 36x22 escape window, screened, slider: Dual pane.
I think it was around $250.00, packaging shipping and the window cost.
You might ask for the window only, (and the sliding screen) not the encasement, and trim ring. probably much cheaper...
It is so nice, every time Sue went upstairs today, she said with glee, we have a screen!!! It's nice and cool there now.

Ozz "Click me" only took me to Photobucket. But I found the slide show in "Ozz's Mods". Looks great. Sounds like a reasonably easy job.

Merry Christmas to you & Sue.

Ozz, did you have to remove the entire frame? Our new BS didn't come with one either and we would like to get the slider. It came with one over the desk but not in the bedroom... Dave and Betsy

Dave, the install does not require the removal of the frame, pretty easy install.
Wow, my desk did not come with the screened window. It has one now, why they did not put one in is a mystery to me.

Thanks Ozz, the reason I asked is that it looked like you had the frame out in the pics... Dave and Betsy P.S. We have double pane windows, do you have the stock #s for the double pane replacements?

Ahh - that must be the difference in screen vs no screen - the dual pane windows. We have screens, but single pane windows.
