Roof freckles
I tried the Dawn. I scrubbed with a brush, then got down on my knees and scrubbed with a rag. I went to the RV store and bought some Dicor Roof Cleaner (the company who manufatured the rubber roof). I scrubbed some more. Now I have a very nice clean white roof WITH FRECKLES. CURSES AND TINFOIL!!! Does anyone know how to get rid of roof freckles??? FYI they are created by mildew. I can kill mildew with Chlorine, but that is not nice to the rubber roof. Alas! Despair!! Doom and Gloom!! A roof on my beautiful Montana Big Sky blighted with mildew leprocy, Freckles!!!!! Roof Freckles!!!

Stiles....
You might try a power washer and see if that helps.

What was I thinking?? Watson is a Scot name. We Highlanders all have freckles. My children have freckles. My wife has freckles. My grandchildren have freckles. So why not a roof with freckles!!! Oh, what a relief to get a new perspective. But I will try the Oxy Clean.

We've used the power washer for three years and no problem. Just had the rig washed and waxed and the guy that did it said the roof was in excellent condition.

Friend Stiles, My advise (which you can ignore without offence) is to ignore those small blemishes. Not many people will be looking down on your roof. The cleaning you have done is all that should be done, and more will likely do more harm than good.. You have succeeded. Declare victory and relax.

Stiles, I have to agree with Padre on this one. Ours has a bad case of acne, well beyond the freckles stage. A couple of months in one place with fall leaves and rain and me not checking the roof caused the stains. At this point I just clean the dirt off of it and forget trying to get it back to white. Someday I may try OxyClean but I doubt it will ever be snowy white like it once was.
