MCD Shades

We would like to set up install of a few Roller Shades in McKinney Tx. We will use their RV spots for the install and then move to an RV park near McKinney, Tx. Any ideas on a nice RV park.

One of our MOC members works at MCD and I am sure he will be long shorely and will be able to help you out.

I live near McKinney and don't know of any thing to suggest. Of course I haven't stayed at any thing that close by either. Lighthouse RV Park in Melissa just north of McKnney and only a few miles from MCD gets mostly decent reviews on campgroundreviews.com. But major highway interchange construction makes getting to it difficult. Maybe they could direct you to the best way to get there.

Are you planning to spend a few days in the area? Or just looking for an overnighter before hitting the road?

Try sending a PM to tweber502, he works at MCD and is a MOC member and they are fulltime in their Montana.

Neither Mesquite on the east side of Dallas or Hurst at northeast corner of Fort Worth are an easy commute from McKinney due to incredible growth across the whole area in last 20 years and accompanying traffic.
There are a couple of RV parks in Arlington, KOA and Treetops, that get decent reviews on campgroundreviews.com Located midway between Dallas and Ft Worth. Pretty easy to Hurst. A little farther to Mesquite.
There is Bluebonnet RV in Terrell just east of Mesquite that gets good reviews. Easy access to Mesquite, but a long way to Hurst.
The Vineyards RV in Grapevine just northwest of Dallas gets great reviews, but price is a little higher. Fairly easy to Hurst but a bit more of a drive to Mesquite. Was flooded during last year's heavy rains. Don't know if they have reopened or not.
Just some options to consider.

BlueBonnet RV in Terrell is on interstate 20 east of terrell.

East Fork COE park on Lake Lavon near Wylie TX would be more center to Hurst & Mesquite. But they do lock the gate at 10 PM. but if you get a site near the gate end of the circle - its not bad walking in from the gate. We have done that after high school football games.

Lestx, Hi there. I work at MCD and actually full time in a park due west of McKinney about 18 miles. The name of the park is Shady Creek RV Park and Storage. The park is actually listed with an Aubrey, Texas address but isn't really in Aubrey. The managers are extremely nice and the park is VERY clean. I'm not sure if there any sites available but If you decide to check into it you are more than welcome to let them know I referred you! As for the shades I will be happy to give you any information that you might need or try to answer any questions that you may have. You are more than welcome to PM me if you want. Sorry it took me so long to chime in but have been extremely busy and haven't had a chance to log onto the forum in a while! Tim Weber

The Vineyards in Grapevine is closed again this year due to a recent storm. The lake rose and flooded the campground. However, it is a beautiful park when open. We stayed there and would not hesitate to stay their again.
