Illinois CG en route to Goshen

For anyone going to the fall rally and coming over from maybe I-40 or I-70 up through Illinois/Indiana, if you want to stay in the Peoria or Bloomington/Normal area prior to arriving at Goshen there are several CG possibilities in this area. There is everything from full service CG in the city of Peoria to some state parks. Any local assistance we can provide let us know.

When the DW and I head to the rally we will be taking US Rt. 24 over to US Rt. 31 and going north to Goshen (about 260 miles). My goal is to avoid I-80 through Chicago.

Thanks for the suggestion.
We will be in Monticello Iowa at the National Dutch Oven Gathering (9/7-14) a week ahead of going to Goshen. We will have seven days to make the move thru Illinois and were wondering of places to stop.
Avoiding 80 sounds great.......

If you don't mind dropping down below I-80, Peoria or Bloomington would only be about a 175 mile run from Monticello IA for you. We go to the Chicago area numerous times every year to visit kids/grandkids (in a SUV). I am just not a big fan of pulling my fiver through that traffic around the city, besides Chicago almost becoming the murder capitol of the U.S. now. Let us know how your schedule shakes out and how we can help you with ideas on CG's in this area.
