We recently had a big bump here, averaging about $4.07. Did see some for $3.79, but it turned out to be bio. Anyone use that stuff?

I've nothing against the stuff and in fact wish I could get a 5% mix all the time for the added lubricity and cleaning properties. Having said that, not all biodiesel fuel is equal. You can run into mixes as high as 20%, and since the cetane rating on biofuel is lower than diesel, your mileage will suffer accordingly. In addition, if you have a lot of miles on your vehicle and make the switch, it can cause fuel filter problems. Biodiesel is much cleaner and the effect of it cleaning out your fuel tank and system can cause your filter to clog. My stepbrother went through 3 filters in a week when he switched to pure biofuel on a truck with 150K of regular diesel use. One last thing: biofuel will gel at higher temps than diesel, especially with higher (100%) mixes.
