Ain't nothing better..

Yep ain't nothing better then cruisin cross this great country. With the sun shining, the Montana behind you, the cruise at 65, listening to that Cummins just purring along, and Classic Vinyl on the Sirrus, the DW sleeping in the shotgun and both dogs asleep in the rear, it don't get much better. That was until we hit the Arkansas line and all hell breaks loose. Dang the Interstates in Ar. are terrible. Bounced that poor trailer all over the place. So much for the eggs in the frig. But still a great day to travel, but what the hell am I doing in Arkansas lol lol

Glad you're having fun!!! Since 2008 more states are getting added to the list of crappy roads even on their interstates. Arkansas isn't the only one, Missouri will give you a few jolts also.

California now has the distinction of having the worst roads in the country.

To earn that distinction they've got to be really bad!

I don't know but so far Ark. has the worst we have hit. I-55 down by West Memphis pretty much destroyed everything in the frig and we lost several dishes and bowls. We haven't lost a dish or bowl in many many miles. We do have a rear kitchen but we have had a rear kitchen for 5 years now. I was down to 50 mph on that stretch of road. But then I-30 and I-40 are just as bad in sections. Asked the wife to check and make sure the wheels were still attached several times. But still is a good time to just be out traveling cross the country, even if we are in Ark. Sorry it's a Texas thang lol lol.... Just wanna get her home in one piece so I can put the EZ Flex on her to help out.

We just came back from our daughter's BF graduation at Graet Lakes Naval Station. Illinois and Indiana roads were both horrible. Found cabinet doors and drawers open upon return home. Never had that on any other trips. So glad to be back on our Michigan roads that I hear the locals complain about.

Not that Nebraska roads are bad by any stretch (nothing like Louisiana) but the concrete expansion strips every 10 feet or so gets old quick. Turned our cat into a bobble-head! Too funny to watch:-)
